Some recent work I produced for various clients.

I am a passionate photographer, teacher and traveler who remains gratefully amazed by the beauty that surrounds us.

It Was 1982

bruno debas thumbnailIn 1982, I joined the photography program at the New England School of Photography, really uncertain what I was about to enter. In Paris, a friend of mine was a photographer and it looked like a cool job. Two years later, I had completed the program and moved back to Paris where i discovered Fashion, lifestyle and Car photography, and began to understand what it really meant to be a professional photographer. Since then I have traveled the world and shot for many national or international clients. It has been an incredible ride for which I must humbly thank all the marvelous, creative people with whom I have, or will, team up to create awesome visual content for their marketing material.

What I do

I am a commercial photographer who dedicates himself to translating your ideas into visually powerful images for your marketing content. I love the islandprocess of sharing ideas and communicating with other creatives to build strong visual images. My interests are various; Painting, Sculpture, Music, Films, Science, History, Literature, baking etc. They all affect the way I approach projects. I love the exploration and recently worked on a mixed media project called "Island" that uses Acrylic Paint, Giclée Prints, and Encaustic. It is all fun. I am also exploring video more and more. I love it all!

Some Thoughts.

  • "I love the idea of "Parallel film editing" in movies. Watching movies like "Pulp Fiction" take on a all new meaning."

  • To Cartier Bresson, Bourdin, Penn, Avedon, Doisneau, Frank, Man Ray, Paolo Roversi, Jean Paul Goude, David Seidner, Vogue Paris, Interview, and beauty wherever it can be found, thank you for inspiring me.

to the many I forgot (Picasso etc) sorry!

  • "My advice to anyone who wants to become a better photographer: Learn to see and feel without the camera."
